Hey everyone, I'm starting to purchase winter cloths, it has gotten unseasonably cold in NY this year, and I don't have as much fat to keep me warm...acutally Im' usually the coldest one in the room. Today, I went to marshalls to look at their clearance racks (i figure why invest tons of money in cloths I'll undergrow (instead of outgrow) by the end of this year. Anyway, picked up a few sweat pants just to try them on and see where I'm at size wise and I'm now an XL sweat pants!!!!!! I tried on a couple of them, just to make sure it wasn't just one. Whats weird is that they make me look like i have normal size legs...i'm so use to wearing cloths that hang on me like a tent, to wear something that actually fit me was WEIRD. I figure i'd post this hear because most of you knowt his feeling, but it's just so weird to go from being so large, where you outgrew the fat stores cloths (which i did) to actually being able to buy stuff in the normal peoples isles. I was in the normal size clothing racks, and thought the clothing police would come out and drag me from them and put me in the big and tall section..LOL. It is very exciting, VERY exciting....and i'm happy...but it is certainly strange. Scott PS just for the record, normal size clothing is so much cheaper and better made then fat peoples clothing...WHATS the deal with that?????

I'm worried about the clothing police, too! I'm so glad I'm not the only one--every time I go to a "normal" store, I expect to be told I can't wear those clothes and to get my fat self out of there. I wonder when that will go away.

Sandra is right! I do all of my clothes at Goodwill and will probably continue to do so even when I reach goal! Here in Baltimore, the last Saturday of every month is "Super-Saturday" and all the clothes at Goodwill are half price! Last month, I got a Ralph Lauren silk blouse for $4, a London Fog trench coat for $7, a 100% wool pea coat for $7, an beautiful suede blazer for $7, 2 nice skirt suits for $3 each, a gorgeous silk ****tail dress for $5 - it will get plenty of use this X-mas party season!, TONS of sweaters, blouses, slacks, - nice brands too: Dockers, Talbot's stuff, Liz Claiborne stuff, DKNY, New York & Co. I've become incredible spoiled and from here on out will only buy retail if I am looking for something specific and I can't find it at Goodwill!
