I'll open the gym today. I had to go to my HMO for a post WLS class, so I did a bunch of walking around the clinic. It was freezing this morning when I left the house, but by the time I was done at the clinic, it was warm enough that I regretted bringing my coat (which is now very big on me). What did you do to move your body today? Kix

Congrats on your coat being big on you Kix! I've got to buy a new winter coat now as well. I had to put my cat to sleep today, so I've been crying a lot. He was having liver failure, so it was the right thing to do...it is still hard. I do think I'm going to go the gym tonight after work, but, we will see. Still pretty teary-eyed now and then. I may just go home and crash. He had 13 good years with me. He was a rescue. He had a good life. Lori

Oh, heck! I'm sorry to hear that your cat didn't recover. It takes a special owner to know when it's time to let go of a beloved pet who is very ill. I admire you for having the courage to make that difficult decision. Sending healing thoughts, Kix

Kix, I have never had a class post my wls. Did you learn anything u care to share. Im 3 months post op and would love to know what you learned in a post op class. I had a pre op class but nothing post op. The first 3 months have been fairly easy as far as eating went for me....but the last week it seems like I never get full.....in my head. I know my stomach is and I stop eating then 15 min later seems like Im wanting something else. Not sure if its head hunger or just bad habits slipping back in my life Mariah

My HMO has a mandatory 10-week pre-op series of classes. After surgery, we attend the post-op meetings monthly for the first six months with the option to continue attending as often as we want to after we are six months out of surgery. The meetings consist of weigh-in and then talking about how things are going as post-ops. I go mostly because I like getting what I consider an "official" weight. It's more of a support group than anything. Yesterday's class had mostly newer post-ops talking about their struggles drinking fluids. I did learn that it's common to have problems eating leftover meat, and it should resolve down the road. That's about it! Kix

A little late in posting, but I did 40 minutes on the elliptical trainer on Thursday after work. Sweatin', sweatin', sweatin' - it's good for us! Kellie
