Well, I guess I've recovered from my very hard day yesterday. In addition to having to put my cat to sleep, one of my fellow deejays passed away from a brain hemorrhage, she was only 50 years old. I never made it to the gym yesterday as I was on the phone with other volunteers discussing Susanne's passing. She had terminal breast cancer that was fully metasticized. In an effort to keep living, she had been undergoing 7 hours of chemo a week. I think it was all just too much for her body. She was a tough one though. In the 3 years she dealt with that cancer, she didn't miss one radio show or event. I hope she now has peace. Thanks for listening to me folks. I know I've been very blue the last couple of days. I hope the lesson in all of this is that we all need to take the very best care of ourselves, show alot of love and support for those around us. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

hi lori: i'm so sorry to hear about your friend's passing. but i'm sure your hope has already come true and she is now at peace. but i admire the he!! out of people who can keep on keeping on, in spite of it all. how are your blues coming along, girl? i seem to remember you were going to see someone about meds??? i hope you found a resolution there with which you can see some progress at least. i moved my ellyptical up to ten mins yesterday. i think i'll stay there for awhile, too. the foot hurts, but i'm still trying. surgery will probably be in november on it. my dizzy spells from the meniers are coming back - in spite of the steroids they put me on. (and taking the steroids puts me as risk for an ulcer, acc to wls dr). so i am most likely going to need to deal with the inner ear issue surgically as well. should prove to be an interesting end of the year. colorectal and gyno after thanksgiving and early december. no wonder i'm not sleeping these days.!!! hope this wasn't tmi. and i hope you have a wonderful weekend. hugs dorthe

Hi Dorthe, Well, I've had my meds adjusted up. Course it will take time to work. I'm definitely struggling with the blues today. A friend just called and is taking me to lunch. That will help get me out of the house, then I'm going to go to the gym. Haven't kept up with my rigorous workout schedule this week.... 10 minutes a day on the elliptical is probably about right for now. I'm so sorry you are having dizzy spells now too! Please be careful driving a car. Big Hugs back at you! Lori
