Well the gym is open everyone this morning I took a walk in my neighborhood it was wonderful. It was about 2 1/2 miles and at one point I was like wow this is a long walk but I just kept going, but belive me I was glad to see my house was very close. This surgery has really helped me in so many way i can move. Then after my walk I swept the whole house (hardwood floors) and mopped. I washed dishes and now to my bedroom to finsh up in there still have some laundry to do but moving is moving right? Well have a wonderful weekend. What did you do to move your body today?

Good job, Lorraine! I can't imagine being able to walk that far, although I suspect one day I'll just be able to do it, and not even realize it until I've finished! I did chores this morning. It snowed last night, and although the snow is already melting, it's a bit cold to walk outside today. I'll do some leg strengthening exercises later. Kix

Kix, You will be able to walk as far as you want. I did 5 miles today. It never would have seemed at all possible before. You are doing so great...just keep it up! Hugs, Lori

Hi, I went on a 2 1/2 walk for diabetes today. My daughter is diabetic and this is the first time I have ever been able to do something like that. Before my surgery (3 months ago) I would not have been able to do it. I them went shopping and cleaned house in the afternoon. Have a super weekend! Shellie

Shellie, This is so fantastic! And so quick...I know I wasn't walking that far at 3 months. I also think it is so wonderful for you to be an example for your daughter as exercise will always be an important thing in her life. My nephew is type 1 diabetic. He always does so much better in controlling his sugar levels if he sticks with exercise...not always easy to get him to do it though. He is 16 now. Has had it since he was 9. Hugs, Lori

After a very sketchy week of exercise and emotional trauma, I managed to take a 90 minute 5 mile walk today along the canal. They had let most of the water out and there were kids up and down it catching carp and catfish with nets. It is what I needed. I then came home and took a long hot bath...which is something I couldn't do before losing 151 lbs!!!! Hugs to you all. Lori

I did "The Firm: Fat Burning workout" DVD. It is an interval program. I liked it. I should have swept and mopped, but never mustered up the motivation.
