Need recommendations for OTC cold remedies

I haven't had a cold in so long that I've practically forgotten what one looks/feels like, but I noticed tonight that my throat feels scratchy and sore and my nose is beginning to feel like it wants to be runny. If I am getting ready to have a cold, I'm not sure what over-the-counter remedies we can use as post-ops. In the old days, I'd drink a vat of Nyquil and sleep until the cold germs gave up and moved on to someone else. I'm pretty sure Nyquil isn't a good idea now. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Kix

I use Sudafed PE and extra-strength Tylenol... or Tylenol Cold & Sinus is the same thing! Hope you feel better soon! Karen

Tylenol has a new liquid called Extreme cold that I used, and it worked wonders. It's a citrus blend that's not all that great tasting but it sure got rid of my cold fast. Jan

and i'm gonna recommend chicken noodle soup with garlic added. it always makes me feel better. heavy on the chicken and garlic, light on the noodles. hope you feel better soon. dorthe
