GYM IS OPEN (FRIDAY)!
Happy Friday, everyone:
My cold is showing signs of fading, so I'm hopeful I'll be done with it pretty soon. The worst part is the coughing (I hate to cough) and the itchy eyes.
I had a WOW today that includes exercise -- our DSL decided to fritz out, and my sibling just left town for the weekend, so I had a choice of going without DSL for four days, calling the neighbor to come over and help, or going down to the basement office and rebooting the DSL modem.
I opted for the reboot, so I went down the stairs (about 12 of 'em), walked into the office, rebooted the modem, and then went back up the stairs. I did all this without my walker. I was scared at first, but now that I managed it without killing myself in the process, I'm pretty darn pleased! I couldn't have done that at 530 lbs -- in fact, it has been at least 3 years since I even attempted to climb stairs.
The weather is warmer today, so I'll probably take a short walk later in the day.
What did you do to move your body today?

What did you do to move your body today? Nothing yet! I do have water aerobics tonight though.
Hubby had minor surgery yesterday and I waited on him last night ... even in the wee hours of the early morning, looks as thought that's how I'll be spending my weekend, not that I mind a bit! Well, that and laundry, cleaning house and baking.
I'm going to try to adapt a pumpkin pie recipe from real pumpkin, to be SF and I have to bake a cheescake for my MIL's Bday on Sunday. It will be sugar free too, and I want to see if anyone notices ... lol!

Kix- What a fantastic WOW moment. You must just feel like you won the lottery! (Well almost) I guess that is just one more affirmation as to why all of the "loosers" entered into this new life, to get more healthy and to be able to do the things that other people take for granted such as walking up and down the stairs. Congrats! I can't wait for my surgery on Dec. 20, on one hand I feel like it will never get here and on the other hand the date is creeping up quickly and all the crazy emotions with it. Glad your cold is almost gone. I know you have felt pretty crummy. Keep up the great work! Karen
