You On A Diet
Way cool! I went to UCLA Medical Center for my first WLS consultation. I didn't choose them for my surgery; however, the one good thing I walked away with was the nutritionist told me about Sit and Be Fit. Changed my life, so I tell everyone I can. This is good for anyone, not just old folks and the mobility challenged. For the more fit it is a good warm up, for others it is a great beginning.
I DO understand. The stomach wall of fat and the comparison of how the organs look for the obese is not a pretty picture. It's only a small part though. And, after all we do all like different programs. Do you have a favorite? I'll give it a try!
For me, it answered a question that 2 doctors, including my pc, had not answered for me. I was always obese, but shaped like an hour glass. Then about 3 years ago I gained a lot more weight and my waist began to thicken and shape like a ball in front. FYI: not a "beer" belly, more like a chocolate belly! It's just like Dr. Oz described with the Omentum (sounds like
). Just that knowledge alone is worth it for me.
Thanks for asking. How are you doing? I'm still plugging along. I've lost 48 lbs. since May, passed my EKG, and waiting for a surgery date. It's so close to Christmas though, and Dr. LePort does have a considerable waiting list; however, I hope to have a date sometime in January.
Take gentle care,
Ema
