Gym Is Open (Wednesday)
I had an early morning meeting today, so that means I've got to go to the gym tonight after work. I wish I had a life where fitting in the exercise was easier...but, I don't...so I gotta suck it up and keep pushing. The results I've seen from the exercise makes it all worth it. Took a long time to see them though.
What did you do to move your body today?

Well, I've already gotten exercise this morning by sweeping up a bag of shredded cheese that went flying all over the kitchen. It was especially fun trying to dislodge it from the grout on the tile floor.
The weather looks a bit nicer today, so I'll do a short walk and, of course, my leg strengthening exercises.

Went to the gym again tonight with my husband. Did the bike, weight machines and eliptical. Had a great discussion while on the elipitcal with a lady who had gastric bypass 10 years ago. Its quite amazing how the surgery has changed since the beginning. You would have died laughing. We were showing each other our scares. In April she had her arms done. That was a very informative discussion for me. I am very interested in getting that done. Talking with her was a very good thing. Isn't it funny how us WLS patients can pick out and identify each other. I think it must be a secret chip implant that they put in when they do the surgery. She was very inspirational to me today.

Sandy,
I know you've heard of "gay-dar" there is probably something similar going on the Gastic Bypass patients, maybe we could call it "rny-dar"? How did her arm scars look? A woman I know really has some severe scarring from the arm surgery, not bad on the abdominal plasty. I hope to get the stomach and breasts done, I think I'll live with the arms. Believe it or not, they are not too bad. I think because I didn't lose weight as fast as most gastric bypass patients and I've been so consistent with working out, the arms have adjusted. Can't say the same for the belly and breasts though...they are both headed south!
