Gym Is Open (Weekend)

I had tons of fun in Park City last night. I'm home now and need to get to the gym. It is so nice I think I might just walk outside....ok, I'm going.... What have you done to move your body this weekend? Lori

Hi Lori! Glad you had fun in Park City! Well, my rash is still here ( I think it's heat rash/blocked sweat glands, ick) and I wasn't going to go to the gym today, but I did. 10 min. on bike 30 on elliptical 15 on treadmill weight trained arms, shoulders and abs. My occupational therapist I see for my carpal tunnel said to knock off the chest exercises, she thinks that my chest muscles are too developed from an old job I had and they are part of what is causing my nerves to be pinched. jacie

Jacie, I'm glad you are seeing an occupational therapist. It is good to have some guidance. Are you sure the rash isn't a yeast infection? We with lots of skin tend to get them in the skin folds. I use a medicated foot spray powder and it works great. Good luck! Lori

Hmm. I hadn't thought of that. The only thing is that most of it is not where I have skin folds, except I guess behind my knees, but that's only when my knees are bent. Otherwise it's on the outer upper arms, my inner wrist and my shins and calves. Heat rash is the only thing it looks like, eveything else is too red and/or bumpy, at least from what I've looked at online. I hate to go to the doctor though, but maybe I will try that spray powder, it can't make it any worse, and I've tried everything else I can think of! Thanks for the advice! jacie

For Sunday my workout was about the same: Bike for 10 min. Elliptical for 30 min. Treadmill for 14 min. Weight training on legs, back and abs. jacie

Jacie, I woke up without a voice this morning. It is somewhat better now, I've been sipping tea all day. So, guess I'll pass on the gym today. I have got to get well quick so my trip to Sweden in 10 days is not hampered! Good for you though! Lori

Lori, I'm sorry you aren't feeling well, but glad it's improving a little bit. How exciting that you are going to Sweden!! I am excited for you! Get well soon, Lori!!! Think how much more enjoyable and comfortable the flight is going to be in your new svelte body! Saturday: "The Firm" cardio dance class (45 minutes) Sunday: I strung together three workouts - 2 short, 1 long: "The Fix" cardio dance (20 minutes), Kathy Ireland's "Sports Fitness Cross Training Workout" (1 hour), and "Shape Bikini Body Toning: Flat Abs" (15 minutes). It was a good exercise day!
