Did anyone get surgery in India?

Hi I'm new here and I will be getting surgery in May 2007 in India with Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala and I was wondering if anyone may have had surgery there!!! I feel confident that Dr. Lakdawala will do a great job for he's a to me.. But, I'm trying to find patients who have been to him for Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass Surgery.. Hey Tina, I didn't have surgery in India, but your doing a great thing by doing this research before you go. I didn't see a forum on OH for surgeries in India, they do have one for surgeries south of the boarder, you might want to check there, just in case anyone that has had surgery in India is hanging out there. Plus you should contact the surgeon and find out if he has a Yahoo group. Lots of out of country doctors have them. I've met a lot of DSers that have gone outside the country for their surgery, and have read some AWESOME testimonies about several surgeons. There is on in particular in brazil that is suppose to be amazing. Dr. Marchesini (sp?) is one of the best DS surgeons in the world... and his patients that come back testify to that over and over again. Good luck with your research. Scott
