It wasn't easy, but, I made it to the gym by 5:15 am this morning and got in 1.25 hours of exercise. About 1/2 hour of upper body strength training, then 45 minutes on the treadmill. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Good for you Lori - being up that early is so stinkin difficult! But I know I feel better when I start the day that way. I actually got up early enough to do my 30 minutes of aerobics and 15 minutes of stretching (I'm not exactly a morning person). And, I made it to work on time! (another miracle - thank god I work in a great place that let's me be flexible)

Wow, Lori! You made it to the gym BY 5:15 AM? This means you must have been awake around 4 AM-ish, doesn't it? I admire people who can start their days at dawn and not fall over by noon. I'm not one of them. How do you keep from doing this at work in the afternoon? I did my 20 minutes of "sit and tone" this morning, but my heart wasn't in it at all. I really have a major case of the Mondays, I guess. Three days until you leave for Sweden! Do they have nonstops from SLC to Sweden, or do you have an intermediate stop first? Kix

Walking, walking, walking ... looking forward to when I can go back to water aerobics! I have to wait a few more weeks, since the gallbladder surgery. Jan

Kix, My alarm goes off at 4:30 am. It takes me about 20 minutes to get out of bed. I am surrounded by purring cats and it feels so warm I don't want to get up! Yes, I leave very early on Thursday morning. I won't be bac****il the 18th. Can you keep the gym open for me? I have a terrible flight option for Sweden, because in an attempt to accomodate my sister and nephew who live in Omaha and have never done a flight such as this, I'm having to fly to Denver, then Omaha, then Chicago, then 10 hours to Stockholm. It is something like 17 hours of travel time...I will arrive in Stockholm at 7:30 am on Friday morning (they are 8 hours ahead of us.) I WILL SURVIVE!!!! Hugs, Lori

I thought maybe you were doing SLC/Atlanta/Stockholm since Delta has a hub in SLC. Your itinerary sounds like mine back when I was in high school and the family went to Denmark every year. We flew from SLC to LAX on Western, LAX to JFK on TWA, JFK to Oslo, and Oslo to Copenhagen on SAS. Of course, that was back in the olden days when airports weren't hubs, and airlines had specific routes they flew. International travel is easier now. Too bad you can't meet your sister in Chicago, but as I recall, you have a jerk BIL that placed ridiculous conditions on her travel. Here's hoping you can sleep on the plane (although I always think I'll sleep on the plane, and never do). I'd be happy to keep the gym open while you're away! Just leave the key under the mat. Hugs, Kix

Lori - I will be leaving tomorrow right after school to drive about 2 1/2 hours south (Indianapolis) where my surgery will be done on the 20th. On Wed. my presurgery testing is scheduled and then on Thurs I will have my nutrition class training. I will not have access to a computer for a few days. I wanted to wish you well for your trip. I am so excited for you. Savor every WOW moment....you have worked hard for this and deserve it. I will look forward to hearing from you on the board when you return. Karen
