Gym Is Open (Tuesday)
Well, I got up this morning at 5 am and started getting dressed...could not stop coughing, felt exhausted and went back to bed. Guess I'm not over this yet and my trip to Sweden is in 2 days!! I am at work today. May leave early though.
I hope you guys are all doing well!!!!
What have you done to move your body today?
Lori
I did my 20 minutes of "sit and tone" this morning. My knees are kind of stiff and achy this morning, I must have done more walking than usual yesterday.
Our neighbor came over to fix a minor leak in our basement pipes (he's a retired plumber). As he was leaving, he said, "You should be proud of yourself." We had been talking politics, so I was a bit confused when he said that. I had no idea what he meant, so I said, "What for?" He replied, "For losing all that weight."
I told him I still have a long way to go, and he said, "Well, at least you've started on it. Good job!" I thanked him for the compliment, and for noticing. God knows I don't really see it myself. Since I still have so much weight to lose, I forget sometimes that I've already lost 190 lbs from my highest weight.
It felt good to hear it from someone not related to me or not from my surgery class!

As it is cold outside, I have been walking on the treadmill instead. I walked for 25 minutes and around 2500 steps this morning. I will try to do that again tonight. But I have been having trouble with my blood sugar dropping after exercise so I have to be careful.
I wanted to tell you to have fun in Switzerland. love marie
Marie,
Sorry you are having trouble with your blood sugar dropping. Are you eating anything before you exercise? I eat 1/2 protein bar before I exercise, that helps. It gives me 15 grams of protein and 15 grams of carb. A whole one makes me feel yucky, half is just right.
I will have fun in Sweden...thanks!!!!
Lori
Take care of yourself hon - we want you to have a great time in Sweden!
I did my typical 30 minutes of aerobics and 15 minutes stretching. But then I added in tons of furniture moving, and boy am I feeling it! I had it all planned to get my new couch and chair delivered AFTER Salvation Army picked up my old couch and chair. However, it didn't work that way and I ended up moving furniture all over the place just trying to make room to move in the new stuff. And that old coach of mine was heavy!
I think that counts in the weight training category
