Happy Birthday, Kix! I wish I could tie a big red bow around some of the sunshine and FedX it to you! WLS'ers are blessed. We are the only ones who get to de-age with the passing years! Congratulations! Faith

Hey Kix HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!! Think of all the things you can do now that you could not do last year and all the things you will be able to do next year when you are another year out. I hope you had a good day. Relax and take some time for yourself. You deserve it. Karen

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I had a nice birthday. We went to see the new Will Smith movie "The Pursuit of Happyness," and I highly recommend it to all. It will certainly make one more appreciative of the good things one has in life. We also went to my favorite market, "Whole Foods." It's very expensive, and I haven't been to one since I moved to Colorado. One finally opened here, and it's near the movie theater, so we went to get a sliver of liver for my birthday treat. I planned to wait at the front of the store while my sister shopped, since I can't walk long distances. When I went in the store, a clerk came up and said, "Would you like a wheely chair?" I didn't know what she meant at first, then I realized she meant a motorized cart. Woohoo! I had the best time zooming up and down every aisle in that deluxe cart and selecting delicious things like trout, halibut, and a small piece of sashimi that I totally forgot to get my sliver of liver! Gives me an excuse to go back. I'm eating the piece of sashimi now, and I think it's sitting OK, although I have a bit of a headache. It might be too rich for my wimpy digestive tract. Came home and opened my gifts: a new pair of slippers from LL Bean, a certificate for two cases of Profect protein, and my sibling had already gifted me by paying for the balance on my bifocals not covered by insurance. All in all, I guess turning (ugh) 49 isn't so bad so far. Hugs to all, Kix
