HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hello to all out in OH land,
Just wanted to wish all of you a safe and happy new year! And lets not party to much tonight and I see yall on CNN tommorrow lol.. I have never been a drinker or partier so that is no problem here lol... I will be sitting back watching it on tv while sucking on sf cocoa ... We have a huge amount of rain for the next two days so not gonna be doing much but cleaning house I guess. We take the new year pretty serious around here in the south. You have to have greens and black eyed peas for the new year cooked. Something about brings money and luck.. Go figure. And a "man" has to be the first one to come into the house on the new year. See another ??? I just hope everyone has a great day and enjoy it with family. And for all you snow bound poor people... Kix, PJ, and all the others out there be safe and warm. I will be posting tommorrow for any weigh in'rs out there that want to weigh. Figured I might as well since no plans to keep me from it lol.. I have really appreciated all of you out there and this year would have been so much more less without you. We have learned alot from each other and actually how much we can care about others that we have never or will never lay eyes on. So a toast (coffee) lol to a bright and healthier new year to us all.... For the oldies on the board to the newbies. We are even having new babies in the new year!! (Who Hoo Diana!!) So just wanted to let yall all know what ya mean to me...
Happy new year marge
Hi Marge,
Happy New Year to you too!!! Hubby and I are going to a party
tonight. woohoo!!! Some of our WLS friends (from the Texas board)
are having a get together tonight at their house. The weather should
be nice high today of 67 and lows tonight in the mid 40's and no chance
of rain. We are spending the night so we don't have to drive home.
This surgery is amazing but so are all the friendships I have made on
OH.
Happy New Year To Everyone!!!!!
(((((big hugs)))))
Diana
The sun finally came back to Colorado, although it is still very cold and slippery outside. I think we're done with the snow, at least for a few days.
I feel a lot better than I did a few days ago. The swelling in my leg is decreasing, the redness is fading, it barely hurts, and my heart isn't racing any more. (I told the DR my heart was racing from the cellulitis and that I don't have heart problems, but what do I know, I'm only the patient.
I'm on IV antibiotics twice daily and the home nurse comes every morning to put a new dress(ing) on Blisterzilla (the big spot on my leg that's draining). I gained six lbs in the hospital, not sure if it's from the swelling or all the IVs or what, but I'll be glad to get rid of it!
I think we're planning a quiet New Year's Eve tonight. My sister bought shrimp and crab, so it's a safe bet to assume that's what we are having for dinner.
I'm looking forward to 2007! I hope it's a healthier year for me, and for everyone else on the board, too.
Hugs,
Kix
