Marie, You can actually start doing some weight training at home with 1 or 2 lb cans of vegetables or soups. It will make a difference. If you need some ideas on how to do these, let me know and I'll see if I can find a web page for you to show you. Hugs, Lori

I'm trying to get back into my routine after 2 weeks off! I went Monday, skipped yesterday, and tonight I forced myself to go at night. Scary! It was so busy. My gym is right on Hollywood Blvd and it's definitely more of the typical gym crowd there are night. I felt so old and ugly! It was kind of a meat market, and what's with all the women wearing full makeup to work out in?? I go in looking pretty bad, and leave looking all red-faced and even worse! Oh well. I hope I can get back into my morning routine. I just was NOT able to wake up at 4:30 yesterday or today! Tonight I got in: Treamill - 28 min. Elliptical - 25 mn. and a couple leg machines. jacie

Jacie, I do recommend early morning exercise for 2 reasons, 1 is that it doesn't interfere with anything but sleep so it is easier (once you get used to it) to be consistent. The 2nd reason is that no one looks good!!!! We can come in looking like we just rolled out of bed (which we did) and feel okay! Big hugs and motivation your way! Lori

I did Crunch's "Fat Blaster" DVD, it's a combo of salsa dance, kick boxing and aerobics. It's fun if you don't get too distracted/annoyed/amused by the human skeletons in the DVD. Good grief most of the woman in the DVD were built like super-skinny 12-year-old boys - all ribs and hip bones. I'm all for "healthy" but I really don't need to be able to see every bone in your body - that's not healthy or attractive. Anyway, enough ranting. After cardio, Denise Austin and I did upper body weights and a bit of standing leg work.
