ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

Hi everyone. It's been a year today that I had RNY. It's hard to believe it. I've lost a total of 164 pounds so far. I was telling my mom yesterday that I know I have lost weight but when I say 164 pounds it just blows my mind. It's so hard to believe ! I've still got around 60-80 more pounds to lose depending on what the charts say I should weigh and my personal goal. I started out at 408 and now weigh 246. I'd like to say to those trying to have surgery to not give up. IT WILL HAPPEN. I fought for 2 years to get my surgery approved. I'm having picts taken next week and will add them to my photobucket for you to view. It's been an amazing ride and I look forward to continuing on the trip. Take care. Sandra A.

Hi Sandra, It seems so unbelievable that it has been 1 year since your surgery. I remember some of the "drama" you went through to get this surgery approved. I too had a few delays and bridges to cross..but nothing like yours!!! Congradulations for your 164 weight-loss so far!!!!I can't wait to see your new photos! Happy one year out Sandra!! What a difference one year can make huh? And your pics are amazing... You look so young and happy.... Keep it up and like you one day hope to see the end of the losing trail and just maintain it. Never been there to do that before....I will also be celebrating my one year out soon... what a year...
