I want to thank EVERYONE for all the calls, visits, emails, cards, gifts, etc. You guys have been wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better group of friends and family! I was in the hospital up until today (1/08). I had some major muscle tightening so they didn't want me leaving just over night. I was extremely tight for 2 days and even the slightest bending just wasn't happening! Thankfully it's so much better now. It makes it more difficult to get up when you've had your arms done at the same time, but I've managed. I've still got a massive amount of swelling and I also bruise so keep that in mind if you take a look at my after photos. They removed 15 pounds total. 12 from the tummy area and 1 1/2 from each arm They went around the side as far as they could go, I'm happy to still have my shape!!. The arms were difficult work for them, but I'm very pleased with the results so far. The hernia didn't require any mesh or anything additional to hold it in place. I'm VERY tight. They pretty much did a lift to the mons area as well. That is totally different. I can't stand up straight just yet so it's harder to see all the results. I've got 4 drains, going to probably have 2 of them removed Wednesday. If you want to see my before and after photos please visit my photo album here: http://obesityhelp.com/photos/uzone,photos/action,gallery/albumId,11119/ I've still have plenty more days of just sitting around relaxing, and I'll be doing just that. Gentle hugs to everyone! Special thanks to Tooter and Sue for keeping everyone updated!! Amy

Congratulations! Your courage is always an inspiration to me - Thank you for sharing. You constantly leave me in awe. I have been hedging on future surgery simply because of fear - I will look into this tomorrow. Did your insurance cover the cost due to your hernia?? you can email me privately if you like - I am going to have surgery for female related issues anyway so I need to do some fast planning. Thanks B

They did cover it. Mainly I do believe the hernia helped, but they said it was more based off the photos. Some will approve if it's hanging too low. Also make sure if you are having any rashes to keep records of all occurances. Amy
