Sorry, I've been sick again. I seem to have developed a high propensity for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I have the extreme diarrhea aspect of it when it hits me. I went to my WLS surgeon yesterday and she said that WLS does not cause IBS, but, it makes patients more susceptible to it, particularly those who have a lot of stress in their lives. That is me for sure! But, I got on the scale this morning and after 2 days of being sick, I was up 2 lbs...oh my god...I can't believe it. Anyway, sorry about not posting at all yesterday. Needless to say I didn't make it to the gym yesterday or today...but, I'm feeling better today. What did you do to move your body? Lori

Hey Lori, I was just thinking to myself wondering what was going on with you. I open the gym yesterday so everything is cool. I hope you feel better soon. Well today I did 20 min of weight training and 65 min on elliptical trainer. Still working what I have you take care of yourself. Lorraine

Hi Lori - I went back to the pool this morning. So, 1 hour of water aerobics for me. I had to work to pull myself out of bed this morning -- maybe because I had gone to water class last night as well. At least I'm down 3 lbs since Monday, so something is helping. Jennie

Feel better Lori. I actaully had the opposite happen. I had IBS really bad pre-op but it totally resolved post-op as well as my lactose intolerance. Tonight is lower body toning night so I will do that after some cardio.

Hi Lori, I went to the gym after work (woohoo third day in a row) and did 45 minutes on the treadmill. I hate to hear your not feeling well. I hope your doing better. Wish me luck I have my glucose test tomorrow and I've heard they are no fun. I pray I don't dump. The doctor said he has had several wls patients and has never had a problem. (((hugs))) Diana

Lori, Sorry to hear you're not feeling well; hope things continue to improve. On Wednesday, I did a 36 minute interval training program on the elliptical; you go for 2 minutes as hard and fast as you can, then "recover" for 2 minutes at a slower pace. From what I've read, interval training helps improve your cardiovascular fitness. I like it because it makes my workout go really fast. Anyway, thanks for opening the gym Kellie
