I did a Walk Away the Pounds DVD this morning. It is snowing like crazy so I'm sure I'll be shoveling when I get home. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Groan! That must be the storm that is headed for Colorado either tonight or tomorrow. I am truly tired of snow! It was a nice day yesterday, so I did a bunch of walking at the clinic before and after my appointment. Looks like I'll have the PICC line at least two more weeks. I did some short walks around the garage today -- it's kind of cold and slippery outside today, so I didn't feel like venturing outside. My legs are kind of sore from all my activity yesterday, too. I am glad to hear your on the mend and doing better. Sorry to hear about the snow we have a freeze warning in Sacramento California so have to leave the water runing in the house so the pipes to break we also have to bring the animals in from the cold. Well I will be sending you warm California thoughts and have a great day. Lorraine

Hey there Lori, Well i was in the gym early this morning can't wait for the weekend to get here. This morning I did 65 min of elliptical I had the ramp set to go up and down from 4 to 10 and the resistance was set to change to from 3 to 7. It was a very tough workout but I managed to burn up around 900 calories first thing this morning. I also did my crunches 125. I have a question do you notice a weight gain when you don't go to the gym for two days? This happen to me over the weekend but come Monday the weight was gone. So because of that I have decieded that everyday i need to move my body maybe not as much as I do Monday thru Friday but atleast 30 min so this Saturday will be the first time but I will be working out 7 days per week. I think that will help with my weightloss too. Just wondering what you thought about that? Lorraine

Hi Lori! It was so cold this morning - I didn't want to go to the pool, but I did, and once I got their, the pool was SO cold. They are replacing the heater for the pool later today. So, I did 1 hr of Aqua Fit in the very cold water. Brrr I plan to go back tonight and try out the new heater. Jennie

I did my walk on the treadmill today. I have been doing 20 to 30 minuetes everyday for about a week or so. And I still havent moved that scale. I am trying to really look at what I am eating. And have been cutting back as much as possible. I am having a really hard time getting that scale to move. I probable need to schedule an appointment with my nut and/or doc. But dont have the intitiative to go that right yet.

Ugh, the mention of snow just makes me all jittery - boy, do I understand the whole shoveling thing. You should see Denver - they have started to use parks as a place to put all the snow and there are massive piles, at least 20 feet high, all over the place. It's nuts and frankly, I'm tired of it! Alright, off my soapbox Today I pulled out one of my old aerobic tapes that I've been waiting to do - it was hard when I was in shape and didn't know if I was ready for it! But I did it today and boy did it whip my butt, but in a good way. It's a fat burning/toning tape that really worked the first time I did it, so I'm hoping to see some results.

I lifted weights at the gym Thursday during my lunch hour. I've been great about doing cardio, but a slacker when it comes to regular strength training and exercises to tone my muscles. So am trying to get back into the routine of lifting weights at least 2 times per week. So far, so good. Kellie
