finally coming along

Well I had a slow start with first my spleen cracking during surgery and needing 5 units of blood after surgery. Then I began to throw blood clots 5 days after coming home. (I was originally in the hospital for 9 days) I was lucky. Back to the hospital again for 4 more days. I had a IVC filter put in and was started on Coumadin and Lovenox 2 times per day. My strength is slowly returning and I will not be returning to wor****il Feb. 15. I still have a g-tube and a PICC line but my incision is healing well. When I went to see my surgeon on Thurs my official weight loss is 38 pounds down since my pre-op testing. (I was able to loose 15 pounds right before surgery). Good to hear from you Karen. So sorry to hear about what you are going through. Have faith as this will pass...I know it isn't easy. Having our health really is the most important thing. I hope your journey can get more pleasant! Hugs, Lori
