Walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes this morning...still need to hold off on strength training for this week. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Hey Lori, I have been feeling kinda down about the weightlose and didn't get up this morning to do anything at all. I will be going in the morning because I notice I feel better when I workout. I just don't understand why the weight isn't flying off like I thought it would. i have been stuck in the same area for the last two week and I am just devastated (sp?) I was hoping to continue to lose 10 pounds per month for another six months or so. I just wan to be under 300 so bad i can taste it. Then to top it all off I gained a pound which I am really not counting to much since my period is going to start any day well I hope it does. Anyway I haven't been a happy camper in a long time. I am down 128 pounds so that is something to be happy about but I just wish the weight would fly off of me the way it did on others. So I have 28 pounds to go to get under 300 that is the next goal. I know I can make it. My one year is May 9th I think thats a good goal for now. I have almost 4 months to lose the weight. Well thanks for listening Lorraine

hey Lorraine, Don't be too discouraged, even though I know it is easy to do that. You have done such an amazing job! Look at how much you can exercise, which I'm sure you couldn't do before the surgery. That is an incredible accomplishment, plus that you keep sticking with it. I've heard of many who have the surgery and never exercise, yet you are sticking with it. Good for you! Take today as your break day and then get back with a vengeance - you'll eventually break that plateau and you'll feel better in the process. I know you can do it! You'll get to under 300 in no time - when I did I balled like a baby, mostly because I though I wasn't even close and was stunned when it happened. You'll be there too! And this was my public service announcement of encouragement from one wls patient to another I expect it to be returned when I come up here and say the same thing, which I am sure will happen!

Lorraine, It is so hard not feel down when you aren't losing as fast as you'd like. I too believe you can get under 300 lbs! Just keep at it. Sometimes our bodies timetables don't want to work like we want them too. You have done so well with your exercise routine. That is something to be so proud of! Lori

Hi Lori, I went to the gym after work. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill, 15 minutes on the bike and 15 minutes on the elliptical trainer. Take care, Diana
