I have decided to come out of the lurkers closet......i have been a serious lurker since my wls seminar in oct. i want to thank you all for all of the advice and insights that you have given to others on this forum, that i have learned so much from. You have all made my journey so far so much easier. I am getting closer to realizing my dream of having this surgery. MaryellenB

Welcome Maryellen! This is not an easy journey, it still is a lifetime commitment to self to make it work. Being here for each other helps so much! Lori

Thank you all for such a warm welcome. I will try to post more often instead of being such a lurker. I guess i should tell you a little bit about myself. I am a 59 year old with a bmi of 66.4. i live north east of pittsburgh pa (about 35 miles) my dr is Dr Robert Quinlin, he and his staff are totally awesome. My only problems with the whole pre op time is the amount of time it has taken me to get the appts with the drs that i need to see.I have been learning patience though. My first mini goal will be to have my bmi lower than my age.
