Didn't make it to the gym this morning. Have my gym clothes with me to go right after work. I'm still doing the 45 minutes on the treadmill while I heal. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Hey Lori, Well this was a hard day for me, I had class last night so getting up at 4 am was a hard one for me today. I managed to do 65 min on elliptical today no weights will do that tomorrow. I have been having problems with my upper shoulder area, I think I have been doing something wrong while lifiting weight or I was over doing it. Well for now I am going to do my weight two days per week. I hope you are feeling better. Lorraine

I am feeling better Lorraine, thanks. As far as your shoulder goes, when my trainer first started me out, we did a lot of stuff that strengthened the tendons and ligaments for a few weeks, before we did much weight. It really prevented injury. Now my shoulder is hurting because I fell off the wagon with my weight training and tried to pick up where I left off and hurt my shoulder. I'm off weight training again right now as my breast heals. I was thinking, I'm going back to some of the beginning exercises for awhile and work back up to the levels I was at. Our bodies tell us we aren't doing something right, that is for sure! Lori

I did a bunch of walking at the sleep apnea clinic yesterday (sounds like I was sleep walking, but all I had to do was pick up an APAP so I can have an updated sleep test at home). Today I see the Infectious Disease doctor, so it means more walking. The snow is starting to melt a bit, so I'm looking forward to getting my heart pumping a bit. Kix

Hi, Lori: I'm not sure if I'm ready to go off the CPAP machine, but I'm hoping we can at least reduce the pressure a bit. I currently use 18/7, and at that pressure, there are times during the night when the mask starts vibrating and slaps me awake! The APAP was so quiet and gentle last night that it felt like it wasn't even running. I use it for three nights, fill out a questionnaire when I wake up each morning, and return it to the sleep apnea clinic on Friday. I'll be curious to see what the results are -- the RT was kind of surly and said losing over 200 lbs doesn't mean squat and that I probably still have sleep apnea. A pox on her! I was doing some brisk (well, brisk for me) walking at Kaiser Skyline today and some ancient bat followed me all the way to the elevator and told me I should get a walker with wheels on it so I wouldn't have to lift it to walk. I told her I like lifting the walker because it exercises my arms (what I really wanted to tell her was to mind her own #*$& business, but I was raised to be polite. ) I enjoyed the brisk walking, although my knees are stiff today. Marge, I was just reading an article about starting an exercise program. They recommend only adding 5 minutes a time after 3 weeks, so stay where you are for at least 3 weeks. They would have recommended you started with 15 minutes, but, if you can do 30, great! Lori
