OT: embarassed women thing

Okay so now that I have everyone attention and am surely embarressed to say this but need some insite. I am thinking maybe it is a symptom of maybe going into menopause. I only have one ovary. Had a hysterectomy like ten years ago. But I never had any symptoms of going into menopause But I am having vaginal itching and burning and dryness and swelling. Any ideals? OH and I have took medicine (diflucan) for yeast infection and didnt help. I am using over the counter creams for dryness and itch and it is doing nothing to help. I have an appointment with my pcp at one thirty today.

Hi, Marie! No need to be embarrassed! It sounds to me like you might be perimenopausal (starting menopause). I guess your one ovary has decided to retire? I'm not quite there yet (menopause), but a friend of mine with dryness and itching swears by something called Rephresh, which she buys over the counter. She said it cleared up her problem when other creams did not. Kix
