OK, everyone, the gym is open! Let's look lively! OK, there's no way I can look lively just yet. I'm too tired. I overslept and had to hurry to get up and get dressed before the window dude gets here. One of our newly installed windows leaks, so he needs to come take a look at it. I haven't had my shower yet, so I'm sure I look like hot death. Once my blood begins circulating and I revive from my near comatose state, I plan to take a short walk. It's supposed to be another lovely day here in Colorado, and after all those weeks of nasty weather, I don't want to miss a minute of it. What did you do, or plan to do, to move your body today? Kix

Kix, thank you, thank you, thank you for the tape! It just arrived and my mom was so excited when I gave her the package and told her that it was a gift from one of my friends! She's going to send you a card. Anyway, 60 minute Pilates class is on tap for today (Denise Austin "Hit the Spot Pilates"). Enjoy your walk. It's like 3 degrees here! Tracy

Holy cow, that was a quick journey from Denver to Baltimore! I thought it would take longer. The post office must have been in a more energetic mood than usual. I'm glad it arrived safely and I really hope she enjoys it. She'll get quite a workout using it, I promise you that! I'm not much of a dancer -- I'm the one everyone makes fun of at clubs because I dance like I'm having a seizure -- so that's why I didn't enjoy the tape as much as the "Sit and Tone." (When I'm dancing, people ask me if I'm listening to the words instead of the music). Maybe Marge can teach me some of those fancy steps of hers! The snow is melting, which makes me happy. I'm sad to hear that other parts of the US are now getting what we were hammered with earlier. Please stay warm! Kix

Hey hon! It is beautiful out, isn't it! I don't even have my coat today, I was just too optimistic to put it on! I'm hoping to go for a short walk at lunch, just to get some sun. I did my aerobics tape this morning, lasted 50 minutes and it felt so good to feel good again. However, I started therapy for a bad ankle this morning and I was told I need to find alternative, low impact type exercises for a few weeks. I have no idea what I am going to do - they suggested water aerobics but that means I will have to wear a swimsuit (which I don't have) and pay for them (which I don't want to do). I might have to go to our gym here at my complex and do the cycle machine - not my favorite but better than nothing. Have fun outside!

The weather is just too nice, especially after all that snow. I heard Angie (Channel 2 morning weather person) say the dreaded "s" word for Sunday night into Monday, just when I need to go to my WLS support class. I would love to be able to do water aerobics, but my PCP won't allow it because of my recurring cellulitis. Something about the chlorine irritating the skin. I do have a swimsuit, which might actually be too big now. If it fits anything like my old bras, my deflated chestal area will fall right out and cause great consternation at the pool! I can just visualize people screaming, "My eyes, my eyes!" For low impact stuff, you could record the "Sit and Fit" lady on Channel 12 each afternoon. That might tide you over until your ankle decides to start doing its job again. Kix
