Gym is Open (Wednesday)

Greetings! The gym is open! I did two walks up and down the basement stairs to get my heart pumping. I will take a short walk later. I'm using a pedometer so I can see just how much walking I do in a day, and try to build more movement after I get baseline data. What did you do, or plan to do, to move your body today? Kix

Good for you Kix keep up the good work. Well I was late again going to the gym, my brother in-law flew in from Florida last night and someone had to pick him up. I want to go back to sleep for about 3 hours. Anyway I worked out on the elliptical for 50 min and did low body weights. Lorraine

Your brother-in-law is lucky he doesn't belong to my family, we aren't very kind when it comes to picking up people at the airport. We strongly encourage other forms of transportation, like the shuttle or light rail. Selfish lot, aren't we? Having been raised to fend for myself with regard to airport things, I'm always shocked and amazed when people offer to drive me to or pick me up at the airport! When I lived in Sacramento, I hated going to the airport because it was so far away. There were times when it was easier to drive to Oakland to catch a flight rather than fly out of Sacto. In those days, the traffic between Sacto and the Bay Area wasn't anything like it is now, you'd have to be insane to consider it nowdays. I'm impressed you were able to get in your exercise after making an airport run the night before. Kix

Just easy walking for me right now. I did clean out my closet of some really oversized clothes. I go back to the doctor tomorrow to see when I can begin exercising again. Hopefully, it won't be too long, because I'm tired of laying around and taking it easy! It's hard to rest, cause you get tired of resting! Jennie

Hey kix, Didnt hit the dancing today. Hubby played hookie from work and we finished that dang flooring.. Yup I said it... Done with!! So will hit the tommorrow.. Tracy is sending me a new dance tape she had and im all siked up.... Aka.. Former fat chick lol..... So will be dancing to new things when it comes.... Thanks again Tracy!! Hugs Marge.. Ps... I want the hot Dr off of Nip Tuck to do my surgeries ... Please!!!!!!!

Hey, Kix, thanks for keeping the gym open. And congrats on getting yourself moving - way to go! As for me, I did 40 minutes on the elliptical trainer after work yesterday, and then lifted free weights for my upper body at home. I think my body has become accustomed to my routine, so I'm switching things up to confuse it! Kellie
