I'm back! Wow, what a week I had. I also only exercised 2 times...arrgh! So, I'm starting a new week with new resolve. I went to the gym and walked 45 minutes on the treadmill and did about 15 minutes ab work. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

I went to the clinic for my WLS support group meeting this morning. I have a new rollating walker (it's bright red with fancy wheels), so I'm able to walk at a better pace now that I don't have to pick up the walker up with every step. I had some time to kill after class, so I walked from the pharmacy to the lab and back a bunch of times, and then I walked up and down the ramp from the front door to the parking lot. It felt good, and if my knees weren't killing me, I could do some more exercise later. Kix

Kix, I hope the new walker really helps! I'm going through the "knees from hell" again too. I'm starting my next round of synvisc shots in the knees tomorrow. Lori

Since I'm still on limited activity, I took a 1 1/2 mile walk with the dog and my daughter around the block. This was the most physical activity that I've done since surgery, and it tired me out. Up till now, I had just been walking the dog a bit in our complex. It felt really good to get out and move. Only a couple of more weeks until I go back to the doc, and I hope that I'm released then! Jennie, Don't rush the exercise! Did you have your surgery lap or open? Walking is fine for a few weeks. Healing up right without the risk of hernia is the most important. We still count walks! Hugs, Lori
