Gym Is Open (Monday)

It is President's Day!  Yaaay!  No work for me!!!! It has snowed alot, so I plan on going out to shovel then head over to the gym.  Yesterday, the weather was in the 50s.  It was so beautiful, I took a 90 minute walk along the canal road.  I guess I should have known that snow would be coming! What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Snow?  Don't you dare send it over here!  Today is Monday, so after the visitng nurse comes to change my PICC dressing, I will get started on my chores.  Mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, ugh! I can't decide if I have hay fever or a cold right now -- I'm all sniffly, but I don't feel ill.  I added extra vitamin c and zinc to my vitamin regimen in anticipation of my upcoming Blobby surgery, and Costco vitamin c has to be the tartest thing I've eaten since Sweet Tarts!  Kix

I, unfortunately, am stuck at work. But instead of working I'm on the board goofing off :-) My computer at home is down and I feel like I miss so much when I'm not online! I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 12 minutes on the cycle this morning. I'm really enjoying the Elliptical, I'm working my way up slowly but making progress, and it's nice seeing that. I can really feel a difference in my legs, which were so weak before. And the mornings are nice and quiet at the gym, only a handful of people there. And all my age, thank goodness! I guess the afternoon crowd is the very young, very hip crowd. I think I'll avoid that time period!

Happy President's Day!! I had to work but I get holiday pay but paid to work the hours I worked so..not too bad!!  I got on the threadmill for 30 minutes today and I increased the speed too!   Treadmill

Hey, Lori, yesterday was a "two-a-day" for me (at least that's what one of my co-workers calls it when you go to the gym twice in one day).  Anyway, I lifted weights for upper and lower body at lunch.  Then I did 35 minutes on the elliptical trainer after work, cursing most of the time because my iPod was on the fritz and I couldn't listen to my music.  Luckily, I was able to fix the problem, so my iPod is now speaking (or singing) to me again, which is great because it makes my workouts feel like they are going much faster.    Kellie
