April 25th?!

I'm having problems with my PICC line (darn thing decided to clog up on me, so I can't flu**** clean).  I called my home nurse, who called my doctor. The doctor's office called me directly to see how I was doing before they made a decision on whether to pull the PICC line earlier than planned (it was supposed to come out next week) or have the nurse "roto-rooter" it to clear the clog. While we were chatting, the nurse casually says, "I see you are scheduled for surgery on your thigh April 25th."  Huh?!  I told her I'd had a chat with the scheduler, but she hadn't given me a date yet because she didn't have the April calendar available.  The nurse said, "It looks like it's scheduled for April 25th at 7:30 AM."   How about that?  Of course, I still need to see the anesthesiologist for a pre-op appointment, and then have a pre-op checkup (same stuff they did prior to my WLS).  Oh, and I need to stay flare-up free until then.  That might be the biggest challenge of them all!   Oh, and the PICC line will come out tomorrow.  Kix

Yeah!!!! That's such good news. Imagine what it will be like when it's all said and done! By the way, I tried responding to some of you past reply posts by email and I kept getting a response that OH couldn't send the message. Did you get any of my responses? I think it also happened with some others I sent as well.

Howdy, pal! I forgot you were headed off to Vegas!  I'm glad you had a good time, and that you didn't feel too crowded on the plane.  Since I love gambling (well, I love slot machines, anyway), I always have fun when I go to Vegas.
