My town of Magna (a suburb or Salt Lake City) really got dumped on last night.  I had a least 10 inches of snow and no power to wake up to.  I shoveled for 1 hour and gave up and came in to work.  There was not as much snow as I got towards Salt Lake.  They say we are in for a big snow storm every other day for the next 6 days.  Thank goodness for weight loss surgery.  I could never have moved that much snow! Still snowing, so not sure if I'll make it to the gym after work or not.  I do have a 7 am date tomorrow with my trainer... What did you do to move your body today? Lori

I've heard conficting reports in the last 24 hours regarding our weather here in Denver.  Channel 2 weather ma'am says 6-10 inches of snow expected, Channel 9 weather dude says 4-8 inches, and UPS dude (Bill) said he heard on the radio that we would only get 1-4 inches on this side of metro Denver.  He also had the nerve to tell me he read in Farmer's Almanac that because we had such a snowy December, our March will be one of the snowiest in recent history.  I asked him to wait so I could get a knife and stab his truck tire.  Anyway, whatever we get, PJ will probably get it worse this time.  PJ, start flexing those show shoveling muscles! The weather has been so nice all week that I'm ready for spring and to get more snow is truly  aggravating!   My knees are sore today after yesterday's clinic walking, so I didn't do much clinic walking during today's visit.  Even though my knees were sore, I should have walked more, I think it was worse just sitting around after my appointment was finished.  I feel like I'm walking for miles, yet the pedometer said it was only 997 steps yesterday and 300 today.  Shame on me.  Kix

Hey there Lori,  Well I went to the gym did a little lower body toning exercise today and 25 on the treadmill and 35 on the elliptical. Have a great weekend, I am thinking about adding one more day to my work like on a saturday after school so I can spend as much time as I need too. So this weekend will be the first maybe or maybe on Monday since i am off.  Lorraine

I feel for you and the shoveling! It's a great workout for the arms but it can get tiring, especially when you keep getting dumped on. I hope you don't end up with the same issue we have had - I STILL have a 3 foot pile of snow on my yard - it sits in the shade all day and just can't melt. I got back on track today and did my 30 minutes of elliptical and 15 minutes on the cycle. It felt good to workout again - my ankle has been bothering me and I was advised by my pt guy that I should back off for a while. Vegas really did a number on the poor thing, it was swollen as big as an orange! Everyone stay warm and out of the snow!  Kix, hope you guys avoid this storm this time - it sounds like I will probably get a big brunt of it (ugh). I'm staying home and watching movies all day tomorrow!
