Hi folks! I never went on the computer this weekend.  Too burned out from work last week to face the computer on my own time! I did do a killer workout on Saturday.  I spent an hour on strength training and 45 min on cardio.  Did not work out yesterday and can't today.  Will be back to the gym tomorrow. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

I went back to the water aerobics class today.  The info from my surgeon said that we could go back after 3 weeks, and I'll be 4 weeks on Wednesday.  I also go back to my surgeon on Wednesday for my 1 month checkup.  If felt good to be doing something today!

Looks like you've already lost a ton of weight your first month!  Good for you! Lori

Hi Lori! I had lost 31lbs before surgery, and the other 28 since.  The first chunk was right after surgery, and the last 13 has been over the past 2 1/2 weeks.  I've been worried that I will be a slow loser, and I'm pleased that over this month, I've lost 28lbs!

Hi Lori! I had a great workout this weekend too - Sunday I did an hour on cardio and felt so good afterwards. Felt good since my ankle didn't bother me at all! Today I woke up kind of late, so only did 40 minutes on the elliptical. And it was a labor for me to finish. Amazing how one day I can feel so energetic, but the next completely wiped out. I want to start weights soon but the trainer who does it is expensive and all my money is going to my therapy for my ankle. So, I am waiting until things aren't so tight. I can at least feel a difference with my legs since I started doing the elliptical. I can actually walk up stairs without my legs screaming at me :-)

Hey, Lori, I made it to the gym twice on Monday.  Lifted weights for upper body and lower body at lunch time for about 45 minutes, then did 40 minutes on the elliptical trainer after work.  I'm getting in a nice groove with this schedule, which is great because I was struggling to find time to do some strength training, which I really need.  I'm also very lucky to have a nice fitness center at my job, which makes it easy to go every day.   Anyway, good luck to everyone finding the time, energy, and motivation to move today! I was sick and did not workout at all on Saturday or Sunday. Monday: 50 minutes of cardio followed by upperbody weights and abs.  Oh, I forgot, I did some stairwalking at work during lunchtime. (had to make up for lost time!).
