Even though we are having a major blizzard now and it took me 2 hours to get to work this morning, I did make it to the gym at 5 am before all the snow started.  I'm so glad as I'm sure I wouldn't be going later today.  It is snowing bad enough now that all of us are staying put as we don't want to be on the roads.  So guess who will be shoveling tonight? Anyway, at the gym this morning, I did 30 minutes treadmill and 20 min lower body and abs strength training. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Hi there Lori,  Well couldn't get out of bed this morning I had a good reason to stay there today :). Can't let that happen to often but tomorrow I will be back on track. I notice I did drop another pound this morning kind of weird.  Lorraine

Hi Lori, It has been awhile since I have posted to you. I am sorry. But I wanted to tell you that I have been doing the two mile express walk with Leslie Sansone for about two weeks every other day. Then the one mile the other day. Thank you so much for telling me about her. I just love her dvds. I am going to try to get her three and four miles in a few months. I already have her Walk and Kick one.  I guess I need to look for a complete set on ebay. Thank you

Hi RieRie,  Funny, you should mention that because I did her Walk and Jog DVD yesterday! The 3 and four mile DVD's I recommend are  the "3 Mile power walk" because it incorporates some light upper body weight work while you walk.  Asfor the 4 miles, I like her "Four Mile Super Challenge."  There is no weights with this one, just a very brisk four mile walk.  I also have her "Four Mile Weight Loss Walk", whi*****orporates jogging intervals into the walk and has a bonus hip, thigh, and ab toning section at the end, but it is one of her older tapes and she is very uncoordinated.  She also has a 5 mile walk, whi*****orporates different forms of upper body toning during three of the five miles (one mile with a stretchie band, one mile with her toning belt thingy and one mile with hand weights - you can use hand weights for all segments or no weights at all), jogging intervals during one mile and just brisk walking during the other mile.  I also recommend her Walk and Jog and her Walk Strong (which is like Walk and Kick except you do weight lifting circuits rather than kickboxing circuits).  So those are my recommendations. I have her "Walk and Yoga" VHS, which is like her Walk and Kick, except you do light yoga.  It is all standing yoga and is okay for beginners.  To be honest, I never do this tape, so if you would like to have it, email me your address.

Are you sick of winter yet?   Seems like we got it hard earlier and now you and the rest of the country is suffering. I just made reservations to head to San Antonio in April, all on the condition that my aunt and uncle will provide good weather. They are working on it! Actually, the last time I was there in 2004 Colorado had a HUGE blizzard  - over 4 feet of snow. I can just see it happening again, another spring blizzard while I'm at the beach! good luck with that shoveling hon Today was my day off, but I decided that tomorrow I am starting with some weight training - I have lost tons on my upper body, but my lower body just doesn't want to keep up. So, I'm going to kick it into gear and try something different. My goal is to fit into a size 22 jean by the end of March (I've been in a 24 for two months, while I've gone 3 sizes down to a 16-18 in my shirt). and by god I am going to get that sucker done. I imagine I will be a little sore tomorrow!

PJ, I remember that 2004 blizzard vividly!  I had only been here a couple of  months and was horrified watching 18+ inches of snow fall in our neighborhood.  My sibling, a longtime Colorado resident, laughed at me and said the March 03 blizzard was much worse. I happened to notice on today's weather report that the temperature on this day last year was 73 degrees.  Why can't it be 73 degrees now?  Works for me. I've also lost most of my weight in the upper part of my body.  I'm down to a 3x shirt from a 9x, but wear a 6x pant (down from a 9x).  Instead of an hourglass figure, I'm turning into a bowling pin! What a way to get introduced to Colorado! I was in Texas and came back to find a 4 foot wall of snow in front of my place. Luckily my neighbors helped dig it out so I could at least get to my door. And then I had to run to work because our roof had collapsed from all the snow! I was the IT person then and they were worried about the equipment, so I had to be escorted by the fire department into the building and they helped me carry everything out. What a wild day that was! Doesn't 73 sound heavenly! I can't wait to go to Texas in April - no snow, no cold, just nice, balmy weather! It's nice to know others have that figure issue - my mom keeps saying that it runs in the family, but I never had this issue before. My aunt has the skinniest waists but a larger bottom and is almost 6 feet tall, so you can imagine how hard it is for her to find clothes! When I'm in Texas we're going to go shopping and commiserate on our big ole' buts :-) By the way, I tried to send you another response by email and it came back again. Weird. I'm going to email them and ask if they are having tech difficulties.

I've only been to San Antonio once, it was in the middle of August, and certainly not balmy!     Even so, I had a great time! The '04 blizzard did a lot of foliage damage in our yard, but we were lucky and didn't have any roof damage.  My sister shoveled the snow every hour, too, so it didn't  turn into a four-foot wall, but the streets were bad for a few days (much like last December, grr!) I've never had this wonky weight distribution issue before, either.  The last time I lost a significant amount of weight, my pants practically fell off.  That's not the case this time.  I don't have a big ol butt, but my thighs qualify for statehood.  Even when Blobby gets evicted, I'll still have enormous thighs. I checked my profile and all the correct boxes appear to be checked, so I think OH must have a technical issue.  BTW, your pictures look hot, hot, hot!  Kix

PJ, Didn't anyone tell you that with WLS you lose from the top down?  It is weird, but, it does get to the bottom half of you, I promise!!! Lori
