DONT SWEAT THE SMALL THINGS IN LIFE...

LAST NIGHT WAS A TERRIBLE NIGHT FOR US. WE HAVENT HAD BUT ABOUT THREE HOURS OF SLEEP ALL TOGETHER. WE HAD A TORNADO GO THRU OUR PROPERTY AND HIT THE NEIGHBORHOOD ONE STREET OVER. THE LIGHTS HAVE BEEN OFF ALL LASTNIGHT AND TODAY. AND HAVE FINALLY COME BACK ON. THE WEATHER WAS SO SCARY I TELL YA. IT TOOK MY HUSBANDS BUILDING OUT COMPLETELY AND IS GROUND LEVEL NOW. THE TREES AROUND OUR POND ARE PULLED UP OUT OF THE GROUND BY THE ROOTS AND OTHER TREES ARE SPLIT IN TWO. WE HAVE SHINGLES ALL OVER THE YARD FROM THE ROOF AND THINGS THROWED ALL OVER THE NEIGHBORHOOD BUT THATS OK... THE OTHER STREET WASNT SO FORTUNATE. THEY LOST EVERYTHING. IT LEVELED THE WHOLE COMMUNITY OVER THERE. IT IS THE SADDEST THING I TELL YA. GOD JUST DIDNT HAVE US IN HIS PLAN AND I SURE APPRECIATE THAT. IT BREAKS YOUR HEART TO SEE THE LOSS THE PEOPLE HAVE AND FEEL THERE PAIN BUT THANK GOD THEY ARE STILL ALIVE. THE DEATH TOLL IS IN ANOTHER TOWN MILES FROM HERE IN AMERICUS. ROOFS COLLAPSING ON  THE HOSPITAL AND ALL. JUST DEVESTATING THERE. SO IM SITTING HERE SAYING NOW.... IT SURE MAKES YA NOT SWEAT THE SMALL THINGS AFTER YOU SEE JUST AN EYE OPENER LIKE THIS. ITS JUST SAD THAT IT TAKES SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO MAKE YA WAKE UP AND SEE THAT. HUGS MARGE

I agree with you. It sometimes takes a little bit of a "shake-up" in our lives to actually wake us up to what we should be fortunate for every day and to just step back and realize the things that we worry about from day to day are really insignificant most of the time when we put things back into perspective. I'm just so glad you and your family are fine. The building you lost can always be replaced but you can't be. I feel really bad for those that the tornado did not have as much mercy on.

Merry Christmas to all my OH friends!!

Marge, I'm glad you were able to post and let us know you're okay.  I saw the horrible damage on the news and have been worried about how you fared. I've been in a pissy mood all day because I'm unhappy with my weight plateau, but I will take your advice and not sweat the small stuff.  It's not like my life has been turned upside down by a tornado. Hooray for the hospital folks in Americus, I saw on the news that they are continuing to provide emergency care while temporarily located at a Baptist Church.  Tornados and hurricanes scare the bejeezus out of me.  I'd rather be in an earthquake, because you don't have any advance warning, it just shows up.  Please take care! Thank God you and your family are ok. Your loss is material and can be replaced. I was watching it on the news.  Your area got hit really bad. In my area we a few trees down and was with our power for about 20 minutes. Nothing serious.

The only person that is with us our entire life,  is ourselves. Live while you are alive

Oh Marge I am so sorry. Hugs, it is really amazing how mean mother nature can be. The stuff is nothing. Belongings are replaceable, life is  not. No matter what we cannot reproduce ourselves. If the could clone  someone, you cannot give them the same experiences in life and it wouldnt be the same  person nohow.  Now that said, it is still devestated to have your belongings  tore up and destroyed. But it will be okay I promise. The realization of how  defenseless we really are is a slap in the face sometimes. You are a kind person and peoplle do care.  Hang in there. If you need something let me know, I will do my best to try to help you. Hugs and love and prayers. marie

That area of yours has been hit hard lately, hasn't it? Between tornadoes and peanut butter, it's been tough. I am SO glad you are alright - tornadoes can be scary. Hope you get some sleep soon sweety :-)

Hi Marge, Im so glad your ok. I know how bad it was from seeing the stories on TV. Your are right about not sweating the small stuff. I lost my job on Thursday because they decided to go a different way with my position and with no warning or anything, I was done. I am really upset and I know I shouldnt go back to food....but....I am using it for comfort again. Then I see whats going on in your State and talking with Candy....I guess we are both lucky. I am worried how Im gonna pay my mortgage and then see some people who dont have a home to pay for, so it was a good reality check for me.. By the way my friend, you look FABULOSE!!!!!!!!! Like a different person, I cant believe how different you look and how wonderful you are doing. Keep it up. Hugs, Soos
