This morning, I tried the eliptical again to see if it would kill my knees...it does...so I only did 15 minutes on it.  I then did a very strenuous strength training workout with my gym buddies, particularly difficult ab work.  As much as they are hurting from the last 2 days workouts, I guess it goes to show I haven't been working them hard enough! I will be walking to my Weigh****chers meeting at lunch today and that is 1.5 miles round trip. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Good morning Lori.  I headed back to the pool this morning, but unfortunately 1/3 of the way through the class, one of the older ladies had a stroke in the pool.  Luckily, she slumped backward  onto the lane lines, and several of the class mates held her up, and the life guard jumped in.  She could speak slightly and answer some questions, could not move either set of toes, but could squeeze with her left hand.  Needless to say, we were all pretty shaken up.  I'm glad that she was somewhere to get immediate help instead of being home alone.

Wow Jennie!  I hope she'll be okay.  I live alone and have always had a deep seated fear of having something happen to me when I'm alone and no one knowing about it.  I have less a fear now since I've lost the 150 lbs.  I'm a whole lot healthier. Lori

Hi Lori,  Well I got up this morning all ready to go to the gym and the gym wasn't even open. The guy forgot the key so he was waiting on someone else to bring it. So back to bed I went I think I should have stayed in the bed I was really tired. So I will be in there at 5 tomorrow so I can really workout. I haven't lost any weight in a very long time and I am starting to get a little nervous I am almost 10 months out and I still have 117 pounds to go to get to goal is this it for me? I feel like I will always be over 300 pounds. Well I am going to go back to basics and see if that helps the scale move so tomorrow protien and water jello and popsicles.  Lorraine

Lorraine, I wish I knew what to tell you.  I really think it is so great that you have such a strong commitment to exercise...that has got to be good, right?  But, I stopped losing at 12 months.  I'm now at 22 months and haven't lost anything since.  I struggle now with not gaining.  I'm at 240, I so wanted to get at least to 199 and I just don't know if it will happen. Keep the faith! Hugs, Lori

I guess I just want to yell it's not fair, you know what I mean? I know people who started out way bigger than me and lost twice as much weight. I know I just have to keep the faith and it will happen but if I end up meeting you somewhere around 240 please help me to hold my head up. I just want to see the 200's you know what I mean?

I have only lost about 10 or so pounds since my one-year anniversary and I have been bouncing up and down the same 7 pounds since November.  This is getting a little tiresome.... Yesterday, I embarked on my personal "11 week" plan to pull out all the stops and drop 4 pounds.  I know 4 pounds does not seem like a lot, but you see I first have to get back to my lowest weight, then lose 4 pounds on top of that, so I actually have quite a bit more than 4 pounds to lose by May 24th.  My plan basically consists of staying within my Weigh****chers food allowance (most of the time anyway) and a cokplete overhaul of my weekly exercise routine.  So far, it is going real well, but it is only day two!

Hey, Lori, I went to the gym at lunch and did 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer.  My leg muscles were sore from lifting weights yesterday.  I think I may take tomorrow off to give my body time to recover, replenish the glycogen in my muscles, and give my muscles some more time to repair themselves.  But then right back to it on Thursday!   Good luck to everyone finding the motivation to move it today!
