Well, no gym for me today.  Could not make it out of bed this morning for my 5 am workout and can't go tonight.  I do plan on taking a nice 30 minute walk at lunch time as the weather is beautiful. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Hey Lori,  Well I am feeling a little better today as finanlly the scale move past the point it has been at for the last 3 weeks, well see how long that last. I made it to the gym today and i did an hour on the elliptical I love that machine. I am going to increase the amount of day to get my weight loss started again. I am trying to stay focused on the amount of water for now I think this had something to do with my stall. Prior to the stall i had be consuming around 120 oz of water which is how much I should be getting for my size for the last couple of week I cut that down to about half. I don't think my body liked that at all. Well yesterday I hit over 120 oz maker and dropped a pound dosen't make since to me but it works.

talk to ya soon Lorraine

At this point, I am so stressed at work that if I don't work out I will probably end up huddled in a ball on the floor, so I most definitely worked out today. I did 35 on the elliptical and 15 on cycle. I would love to do more on the Elliptical but my feet get pretty numb at 35 minutes and begin to hurt, so I'm trying to work around my limitations. Then I did my new weight training video for 20 minutes. It's already helping. I also took a nice long walk at lunch, did almost 2 miles. The area I work in has these wonderful urban trails that avoid traffic and have some beautiful scenery. It was so nice being out in the sun and warmth. But most of all, I was just excited to be able to walk that long! I remember trying that path 2 years ago and not being able to walk a small portion. What a difference 6 months make! I'm ready for this week to be over and done - the only think keeping me going is my workouts.

PJ, I'm so with you.  My workouts are keeping me alive with my very stressful job! Congratulations on being able to walk the trail.  I have a preferred walking trail that I go on.  Even though I've been able to do it for over a year now, I still feel that sense of gratefulness when I complete a 2 or 3 mile walk on it.  I had a hard time making it out to my car in the parking lot before WLS! Woohoo for both of us! Lori

I can relate about the car - now I just plop on it and don't even think about my seat belt - before I couldn't use it all  now it seems so easy! I now realize why I was so stressed before surgery, because I couldn't work out! Well, that and being 200 pounds overweight I went on the walk with a friend who just kept laughing at me because I kept saying "I can't believe I am doing this!" It was just a shock to be able to keep up with him the whole way. What a difference!

I did a short walk today without the walker.  I'm trying to get the dogs leash trained, but it's not working as quickly as I want. A new family just moved in two doors down, they are from Mississippi. Their little guy  (age 5) saw me out walking the other day and decided I need a friend.  He likes to come over and hang out with me while I'm basking in the sun for 30 minutes each day (Vitamin D).  I'm surprised he is so sociable -- most kids these days are so paranoid about strangers that they freak out if you smile at them in the market.  He has a good memory, too, he remembered my name right away.  I get him mixed up with his brother, but I'm working on it. I knew that losing weight might bring a new man into my life, I just didn't expect him to be five years old!  Kix
