Gym Is Open (Thursday)
Lori, I played tennis (badly) in high school and had to be treated for tennis elbow when I was 17. The doctor stuck a huge needle in my elbow and shot it full of cortisone. AIYEE!
My sister and I walked over to the neighbor's this evening to admire their completed kitchen reno. They were surprised and delighted that I showed up, and went on and on about how good it is to see me walking around without the walker. Their kitchen looked great, B****hen, we walked home. It wasn't the recommended daily 10,000 steps, but it's progress. I need to work on my distance and stamina -- my legs get tired easily.
My HMO coverage includes a wellness benefit, so I've talked my sibling into accompanying me to the local rec center, so I hope to start doing treadmill and perhaps ellipitical before too long. My wellness benefit entitles me to a free membership at participating rec centers, and happily, all the rec centers in my area participate. We have one that isn't too far away (wi**** was close enough to walk).
