Gym Is Open (Tuesday)
Hi Lori, well I am sure you will see this tomorrow even though I always look forward to your replies. Today was day 2 of my new 5 day a week work out. I did the elliptical for 41 min and then did some weight training. I have decied that it is important for me to lift some weights atleast 2 days per week so on tuesday and thursday my work out will be a little diffrent. Well I hope you get everything fix for the 3000 users. Lorraine
It's really not as hard as it looks. I remember the first time i did an hour I was so pumped up after that. You can do it just go slow at first until you get into a grove. I have been working out for a long time your strength comes as time goes by. Trust me when you start on that machine you will be like 41 one min that aint nothing i can do 2 hours :)

Today was my first time doing 30 minutes on the eliptical. I started out doing 5 minutes then 15, then 20 minutes 2 days last week now I am doing 30 minutes. You build strength and its not so bad. What I do is 30 minutes on the eliptical and 15 minutes on the treadmill. Then the next day I do 30 minutes on treadmill and 15 minutes on the eliptical. I work out 5x a week and I am starting to see a difference in these thighs. They still look like chewed up jello but not as much. But I feel great

Poor Lori! You're the one who has to fix the system when it fails. I remember at one job, we were without intranet/internet/file access for three days because someone had hacked into the system. At this job, all of our work was kept on the computer, so showing up to work for three days with absolutely nothing to do was maddening. Meanwhile, the system folks were going insane trying to get everything up and running. Hats off to you!
I'll go to the rec center later today. I did six minutes of treadmill, 20 minutes of hilly armbike, and 20 minutes of backwards hilly armbike. While I was doing armbike, a large woman came to the rec center, and I watched her while she did one forward rotation on the armbike, one backward rotation on the armbike, one push on one of the weight machines, and one rep on another machine. She came up to me and asked me how long I'd been doing armbike, and I told her one week. She replied, "I've been coming here for over a year now and I don't think it's helping me at all!"
Well, duh, you need to exercise longer than 2.5 minutes to get any sort of benefit from it! Choosing not to engage my newly identified "bully" persona (

), I told her she was probably getting cardio benefit that she couldn't really see.

Kix Lori,
I hope that you can get it straighted out quickly. My husband is an IS director, and I know how hard it is on him when things don't go quite right.
I did 1 hr of water aerobics at the Y today. My arms and legs are still tired from last nights aggressive workout in the pool, so I went a bit easier today.
Your legs must be amazingly firm and strong!
I'm pretty sure my legs would snap off at the hips after one minute.
