Hi guys! I went to the gym at 5:45 am this morning...late, so could only get in 45 mins on the treadmill, plus about 10 minutes of abs and "smith bar??"  I think that is what it is called. Need to get in at least 2 more miles of walking today...it is raining... What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Went to the rec center last night, and all the treadmills were occupied, so I had to change up my routine and start with the armbike.  I did 20 minutes of Matterhorn terrain, level 3, and for some reason, I felt tired, so I only did 5 minutes of reverse armbike, random terrain level 2, By the time I finished, a treadmill was available, so I hopped on.  I chatted with the older woman walking next to me, turns out all the folks on the treadmills (except for me and my sibling) are cancer survivors taking a specialized exercise class offered by the rec center.  I've seen this group before, they are senior-aged women and I marveled before at how fit they are.  Finding out they are cancer survivors makes it even more amazing to me.   Before I knew it, I'd done eight minutes on the treadmill instead of my usual seven, so I guess I have officially increased my treadmill work to eight minutes.  I've noticed that my walking ability has improved greatly since doing treadmill.  When we ran errands on Sunday, I was able to leave the walker at home and walk through the stores using the shopping carts when necessary to support my walking.  I didn't feel like I had to sit down every five seconds, either. We'll go to the rec center again tonight after my sibling gets home from work.  I hope the treadmills aren't occupied when we get there, I really prefer doing treadmill first.  It's a good warmup for armbike, which has the potential to really kick my butt on that Matterhorn terrain! Kix, That armbike is surprisingly hard!  I just did it at my physical therapy appt.  I was sweating! I'm so glad the treadmill is working for you.  Little by little you will have your mobility back the way you want it!!!  This is so great! Lori

I SOOOOO want to be able to workout   I hate this silly bronchitis and by the time I get back on an elliptical I'll have to start from scratch all over again. Have fun without me guys and think of me as you are sweating and cursing the darn machines. I hope someday I'll  be able to join in again.

Get well, PJ.  The machines will still be there when you get better!  Hugs. Tracy

Try and be patient PJ!  I so understand your frustration at illness and it keeping you from working out.  But, we will be here for you when you are back at it! Lori
