Gym Is Open (Wednesday)

No gym for me this morning...couldn't get up.  Hope to get there tonight after work and at least do the treadmill.  I just walked to and from a doctor's appt which gave me 1.5 miles.  3.5 to go!

Hi Lori,  Well I did my total cardio workout today. I am a little sore from the weights yesterday but I will be alright. Well to day I did 35 min on elliptical and 30 min on the treadmill. Keep up the good work.  Lorraine

Lorraine, Have you done the hip abductor machine?  I have added it in to my routine now that I'm still banned from upper body workouts until my elbow heals.  I feel so sore in those muscles!!!  I guess it means that  those muscles have not been worked??? Lori

I lifted weights at lunch for upper and lower body, then did stretches for my quads, hamstrings, and calves.  I'll do cardio after work - at the gym if it gets cold, or walking in the park if the nice weather holds out.   Good luck to everyone finding the time and motivation to move today! Kellie

My sibling worked late, so we didn't get to the rec center until after 6 PM.  By the time we finished exercising and dropping off a library book, it was nearly 7:30 PM.  This meant that I didn't get to eat dinner until almost 8 PM.  Eating this late means I probably won't be hungry for breakfast tomorrow! Anyway, I did 8 minutes on the treadmill and 30 minutes on the armbike, Matterhorn terrain, level 3.  It was a good workout. Kix

Kix, Were you hungry this morning?  I'm always hungry...I wi**** was like the first 9 months after surgery...now of course, I have to rely on self control, which I've never been good at!  But, I'm trying!

My PT told me to start doing the armbike at the gym now for my elbow.  The most I've done so far is 6 mins in each direction! Lori

I wasn't too hungry this morning, but I forced myself to eat a small amount for breakfast so I could take my acidophilus supplements.  I have to mix them in food since I can't take capsules. I do have more head hunger now, but I remind myself that my stomach has to tell me I'm hungry before I'm allowed to eat.  I don't know how long I'll be able to make that work, though!  Kix

Kix, Make it work as long as possible! It's one of those things where once your start giving in, it gets easier to give in.  You know?  Now, I'm back in really trying to discipline myself, write everything down, measure everything.  It is so hard!  But, I'm so determined not to regain my weight.
