I woke up this morning, looked out the window, and what do I see?  SNOW!  It's not too bad in my part of Denver, but even so, it's just wrong.  It's spring, you know. I will never get used to the weird weather here in Colorado.  How can it be in the 60s one day and snowing the next? Kix

Last week we had 3 inches one morning and by 5pm it was gone and sunny. Figure that one out lol.

We just had the storm come thru earlier yesterday that I think you got last night. You are more then welcome to keep it though lol my gift!!

Supposed to be bright and sunny by the weekend here. We will see!

I thought it was really weird that just 12 hours ago a town in Colorado gets wiped out by a tornado and today I had to shovel a FOOT (yes, a freakin foot of snow!) from my sidewalk. This storm was suppose to hit next week, when I will be in nice, warm Texas!

A foot of snow?!  YIKES! OK, I'll quit whining.  I think we have less than three inches over here (if that).  I can see pieces of lawn beneath the snow and the roads are wet, but clear, so I will count my blessings!  I heard on KOA this morning about the tornado in Holly, CO -- did I hear correctly and a woman''s body was found in a tree? The warm TX weather ought to help you get over your bronchitis.  My sibling sends her regards and is sorry to hear you're still sick.  Now we both command you to get well immediately!  Kix

I heard the same thing about that poor woman - her, her husband and their 3 year old daughter was thrown from their mobile home and were stuck in a tree. She was the only one who died. Pretty sad. Thank your sister for me! That is so sweet of her to think of me, just as it's sweet of you .  My cough is finally letting up but now my stomach is causing problems. I'm just falling apart! I know it's stress, work has been hellish since all the layoffs were made known. I sooooo need this break next week - my mental health is in danger! I'm actually going to play hooky tomorrow and go see the new Will Ferrell ice skating movie - it looks so funny! Stay warm hon! Pam

Kix, We had a harrowing drive in yesterday morning with the snowstorm here.  Today, it is warm again??  I am hoping warm enough to take my walk outside tonight.  It was at lunch time today...I guess we just have to roll with it.  I have to tell you though that I hate the "hot" part of summer.  Spring and fall are my favorites, even though the weather can be quite unpredictable. I think we're supposed to have one more day of cold weather, but things should start warming up on Saturday.  I don't like the "hot" part of summer, either, unless I can live poolside 24/7! Kix

Such is life just east of the Rockies.  I lived in Denver for a couple years, then in Vail for a year.  People use to say "if you don't like the weather, wait 20 minutes."  And they weren't kidding!  Plus the only time I got stranded in the mountains because of bad weather was the 3rd weekend in May.  Can't say I miss those days, although I do miss the mountains Kellie
