BAD STOMACH PAIN

Yesterday at work I experienced the worst pain I have ever felt right under my rib cage, it radiated around my back, I took a pecid, and finally the pain subsided enough for me drive myself home. I am afraid that I have an ulcer, I experienced this a couple weeks ago, thou not as intense.. I emailed my surgeon last nite and waiting for a call. I did have ulcers around 10 years ago, the pain was nothing like this thou. Has anyone else had this?  I feel okay today, but I haven't eating anything..think I will try some soup for lunch. Just thought I let you guys know.. Thanks, Lynn

HI,  make sure if you don't hear back from your Dr.  you call them back. Do you still have your gallbladder?  I had the awful under the rib pain when ever I would have an attack.  Although it took me a year of these to finally find out that is what it was. Just a thought, Jennifer

Sounds like the pain I had with my gallbladder.  I've never had an ulcer so no clue as if it could be that. Best wishes to you!

I agree with everyone else, Lynn.  It sounds like a gallbladder attack.  Be sure to be seen by your PCP or surgeon as soon as you can.  If it is a gallbladder problem, you don't want to end up in an emergency surgery situation.  It might be one of those gallbladder problems that can be fixed with oral medication. Good luck! Kix

Thanks Marge, My cousin had WLS too, and had to have her gallbladder out about 6 months later, and she says the same thing as you. She said everyone told her "oh its no big deal"etc, but she said she has way more pain... I just called and left a message for my surgeon, hopefully she will get back to me today. Thanks for your concern. Lynn
