Getting Close to a Wonderful WOW!

My sibling is getting ready to buy a new car and is giving me her old car (which is in marvelous condition).  In the next week or so, I plan to go get my driver's license switched from California to Colorado, get car insurance, and get back on the road. My only concern is that I haven't driven a car with a manual transmission since 1981, so I'm pretty sure I'm rusty on how to drive a clutch, and we live on a hill!    I'm hoping it comes back to me without too much grief! it will, kix, it will...it's funny, i drove a manual transmission for many years...now i've had an automatic for almost 5 years, and my left foot STILL occasionally stomps on the floor when i'm stopping at a light! another 'hard to break' old habit, i guess. congrats on the new wheels! deb

That is a wonderful wow!!  You'll do great, it's like riding a bike, you may fall at first, or slip the clutch in this case, but it'll come back to you quickly! Congrats, what kind of car is it?

Kix, Congratulations!  On the car and on the weight...you'll be surpassing me in no time.  I'm still at 240!  I am tall, 5'9", but, need to be about 6'5" to look really good at this weight! Lori
