As of this morning, I'm down 50lbs since surgery on Jan. 31! YAY. My size 24 jeans are too big - I bought them on Valentine's day, and now I'm in a 20 from Avenue. Every now and then, I catch a glimpse of someone in the mirror when I'm out shopping, and realize the someone is me. My first thought is NO WAY, I don't look like that - that lady looks almost normal,not big and fat like me. People are really beginning to notice the weight loss, especially if they see a picture of me from last year. I haven't told many people about my surgery, so I'm just saying that I'm exercising a lot, and eating lots less. I'm not ashamed of my surgery, but it is none of their business, and I don't want to hear their opinons on wls. I know that it was right for me, and for the first time in my life, I am able to lose weight. My next appointment with my surgeon is on the 18th for my 3month (2 1/2) appointment, and I would love to be below 290 for that appointment.

Congratulations Jennie!! Isn't this such an exciting time? You're doing wonderfully! You really should come to a support group meeting I'd love to meet you! Our next one is May 8th.

I've marked the date. I wanted to go on Tuesday night, but John ended up being home early and wanted to go to the pool with me, and then out for dinner. I felt it was better to stay home and be with my husband. Enjoy your trip - how long did you say you would be gone?
