Yes, I had a lovely weekend!  I've been to Capital Reef (back in an earlier lifetime, circa 1970s), and I know how pretty it is.  Way to go on not having sore knees! I did almost a full hour of exercise today -- 20 minutes on the armbike at noon (stopped in at the rec center while I was out and about), and then went back later in the evening with my sibling and did 30 minutes of armbike, upping it to level 3. I am thinking about taking short walks in the parks here in my community, and planned to start today.  Lucky me, an afternoon storm roared in and threw hail all over the place.  No walk for me today.  Kix

Kix, I continue to be astounded by your weight loss!  What do you eat and how much  to keep losing so well? Lori

Well, I'm still in my "honeymoon" phase, so I'm glad I'm still losing!  Thanks for noticing! The majority of my daily intake is protein-based.  If I feel like adding something to the mix, it's usually a couple of very small potatoes.  I've been on a buffalo chili jones lately.  I find that by keeping my intake high in protein, I'm sustained throughout the day.  I've been a bit lax about my water and I think it resulted in a slowdown in my weight loss last week., so I'm working toward getting more than 64 oz rather than less.  I'm not tracking my food right now, but I eat anywhere from 4-6 oz of protein per meal.  I do eat veggies on occasion, after I've eaten my protein. I don't allow myself to snack at all -- snacking is what got me to 530+ lbs.  I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  I also haven't added breads, crackers, pastas, tortillas, etc. to my diet.  I figure I don't need the calories.  I've learned from all of you that it's better not to even start that stuff in the first place.  I'm already seeing pals from surgery class struggle with eating things like cookies, nuts, bread, pizza, etc.  I don't want to struggle, so I just avoid it. Congratulations on your successful hikes, Lori!  I am so proud of you climbing over rocks and such!   Anyway, yesterday (tuesday) I did 60 minute cardio sals dance class (combined two 30 minute DVD's - "Fat Blaster Latin" and "Cardio Salsa").  I also cleaned out my basement which entailed hauling box after box of books and od house hold items up the basement stairs and out to my car.  I had so much stuff I had to make two trips to Goodwill. Monday  - 60 minute circuit class (Get Ripped 1000).

Jesus is so good to me;  I couldn't ask for a better friend, protector, leader, savior!
