But in the past you were doing it alone and now you will have a built in tool to help you. Trust me you can only stray so far before it yanks you back into reality lolol. You can do this. You are doing an amazing thing for yourself.

I too could never stick to a diet, but with this amazing tool, you will do great . I weighed 417 the day of surgery, 473 when I started the journey. Today is my 18month anniversary and I weigh 195. Sometimes I still can't believe it. You have alot to look forward too. I just got back from an amazing vacation to the Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas. I could have never imagined doing that 2 years ago. Keep us posted on your progress. Lynn
Sassy,
Take a deep breath. The surgery is only a tool. You will lose a tremendous amount of weight the first 6 - 12 months then you need to use the tool. It is very normal to feel the way that you do. Just think about how much better you will feel in about 2 months from now.
Please keep us posted. BTW I am 52, 1 year post op and I have lost 160 lbs. I started at 456 lbs.
You can do this.

Sassy,
I don't exercize because of severe osto in my knees and lymphodema in my one leg. I am 50 lbs. from getting new knees so once that is done I will be doing some formal exercize. It is also normal to eat the week before. Just one clue, about 2 days before (unless your surgeon recommended otherwize) cut down on your food intake. My nut told me that what you eat 2 days before is going to stay there until after the surgery and could cause discomfort because your bowel movements are different for a short while after surgery.
Please keep in touch and feel free to contact me if you want to talk. My e-mail address is [email protected]
