Gym is open (Thursday)
instead of going to the gym since I'm having a get together at my house tomorrow night after work.
Let's see. . . I dusted, vacuumed, shampooed the living room floor, did a load of laundry, cleaned the kitchen, hung fresh guest towels in the bathroom, and my guest bedroom and put away a TON of clutter.
I'm counting that as my workout today plus I'll take 2 short 15 min walks at work today
I don't know if my sister plans to go to the rec center tonight -- we're supposed to go to an informational dinner hosted by the dealer who sold her the Highlander Hybrid (we never pass up the opportunity to partake of free chow
), and I'm all showered and prettified for this event, so if she wants to go and get all sweaty before dinner, I'll enjoy the fresh air at the adjacent park.
It certainly was windy here in Colorado yesterday and today. For those of you in nearby states who live downwind of Colorado, if you find any of our belongings, let us know!

Kix,
You just crack me up - I always, always, always enjoy reading your posts! Regarding those of us that do long, high intensity workouts, you'll be amazed what your body can do as your fitness level improves. When I started going to the gym 17 months ago, I could barely do 20 minutes on the elliptical trainer with no resistance at all. Now I can go for 60 minutes with a resistance between 8-10, and getting my heart rate up to 135-145 and keeping it there for most of an hour. Our bodies have an amazing capacity to heal themselves, and to improve our fitness levels. It just takes hard work and persistence!
Could you have done 20 minutes on an armbike and 10 minutes on a treadmill before your surgery? I'm guessing probably not, but look at you now! Keep up the great work
