You know what is getting on my nerves???

Jesus is so good to me; I couldn't ask for a better friend, protector, leader, savior!
Word to that!
I love how, on TV shows like "Brookhaven Obesity Clinic," WLS is portrayed as the Great Satan and how a person is somehow unworthy if he or she resorts to the "quick fix" of WLS. After all, "diet and exercise is the only sensible way to lose weight."
As for the diet and exercise, well, it seems like I'm doing just that as a post-op, unless all that armbike activity every day is merely a figment of my imagination!
You know what? Screw 'em! Sorry for the bad language, but I don't care. WLS worked for me, and saved my life. I don't owe anyone any explanations or need to apologize for it. If a non-op wants to think they are better than me somehow because they did not have WLS, go ahead. No skin off my nose!
However, that doesn't mean I won't mentally kick them in the shins.

They think if you are fat you are lazy, if you have WLS you are lazy. Its a no-win. My mom lost and kept off over 100lbs through diet and exercise, and I am so proud of her. (and envious a little bit) but I need help. I've tried before, it just doesn't work for me. I'm glad she's been so supportive, because I was worried she'd say "if I can do it, so can you" but instead she said "yeah, that would make it a lot easier on you, especially if you want to have kids..and you'll be a lot happier" So far I'm lucky, the most negative comment I've gotten is "WLS, that's really drastic isn't it?" But you see that attitude everywhere.. my pet peeve is people who've lost a lot of weight (WLS or not) and now think they are better than everyone else. I've gotten more of that on here than I expected.
