Gym Is Open (Wednesday)

My workout pals and I are walking in a 4th of July 5k fun run/walk, so we are trying to do 3 miles on the track each morning now.  We did that, then did upper body strength training. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Good for you on the 5k run! How fun is that - hopefully it won't be too hot I recovered from my bad day yesterday and did a great workout - did 27 minutes on the elliptical, 20 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the bike. It felt good to workout that hard.

PJ, Glad you are feeling better.  I know I sure have my days now and then! The 5k fun run/walk is at 7 am.  It will be hot, but, not as hot that early! Lori

Well, with my sibling being out of town (brat went on an Alaska cruise with her kids), it was my job to take the trash to the curb today for pickup.  I guess there were about five bags, so I made two trips.  I forgot to fill my portable oxygen carrier first, so I had a bit of a headache after walking up and down the hilly driveway twice with just regular outside air.  I went to the rec center and did 20 minutes of in-line skating machine.  10 minutes into my armbike routine, I felt sort of lightheaded/wonky/ugh.  Not sure why, but I figured the best thing to do was to stop for the day.  I usually do weight machines MWF, so this screws up my schedule, but it's not a big deal. I feel better, so I'm thinking maybe I was just hungry or thirsty.  The dogs and I might go out for a walk later, or we might just get so comfy in the recliner that we don't budge until dinnertime!  Kix

Kix, Will you be tied to the oxygen forever? I have to go to my 2nd annual visit with my WLS surgeon now.  It should have been late May, early June, but, I'm still getting there.  I'm afraid because I'm up a few pounds and she will probably flog me. Lori

Hi Lori, I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and 20 on the bike. I also sat in the sauna for 10 minutes.

Diane, I wish my gym had a sauna!  The place I go to water aerobics at on Saturday's (when I make it) have a hot tub, which always feels good after a killer workout! Lori

Just living life, but all in all I am doing ok. I still have about 87 pounds to go but slow and steady wins the race. I don't have a set time I want it off it will happen when it happens. I will exercise from now on it is just a part of my life. How are things with you?
