Gym Is Open (Thursday)
I woke up in an incredibly bad mood. Last night, my niece called from California to say that she was hosting Christmas this year, and we're all invited. I told her I cannot go to California because my insurance doesn't cover oxygen when traveling, and oxygen is surprisingly expensive. She said, "Well, maybe you'll be off the oxygen by then." And if I'm not? Guess it means I'll be here in CO while my entire family is in California. Sometimes they are extremely selfish, and just don't get it.
Anyway, since I was in a bad mood, I worked out for 1 1/2 hours at the rec center today. I did 45 minutes of in-line skating machine, and the rest of the time I did strength training with the weight machines (20 reps each machine @ 30 lbs). There's one machine I just cannot master -- it's the one where you sit and put your feet on a flat surface perpendicular to the seat, then push with your knees. Either my knees can't bend enough to make it work, or my funny body proportions (T-Rex length arms, long torso, basset hound legs) just aren't made for this particular machine.
After I left the rec center, I did a few errands. I went to Wally's and decided to use the electric cart since I had a lot of stuff to get and was in a hurry. I was so busy driving the cart really fast and looking at the shevles for what I needed that I managed to t-bone two innocent shoppers and hit a display head on (no airbag deployed, though!)
I had to stop at one of our local grocers because they are having an outstanding sale on laundry soap, so I just grabbed a cart and walked briskly through the store. It's nice to be able to walk briskly!
I'm not in a bad mood any more. I think I'll ask a friend to come up for the holiday and visit.
