Well thats behind me now.  I had attended a similar one with daughter Karyn  in August of 2005. I wasn't ready at that time but now I am.  I met my surgeon, Dr. Terence Clarke...he's wonderful.  I also met the Nutritionist, Kim.  She is great with a very up-lifting personality.  I turned in all my paperwork and now I wait for a call from the doctor's office for my appointment to discuss surgery. I was told it would most likely be in Sept. some time,  with surgery in the winter   .  I hope I don't have to wait THAT long!  Sounds like they will have me on a Medifast diet a few weeks prior to surgery. Anyone been on that? How was it?  I won't be posting for a while...I am taking a MUCH needed vacation with DH.  We're going to have a cabin on the lake...lots of R & R.

Boy do I know that feeling.  Looking around the room , there were 4 of us sitting in the same area that got to chatting and I remember thinking, wouldn't it be great if we could all have it done together and be in the hospital at the same time. Misery loves company LOL.  Anyway, waiting till winter will drive me insane!  Patience is NOT one of my strong suits.    Have a great week.

Yes, I am excited....alot of people view this as the "easy" way out but I know from seeing my daughter and hearing all thats involved that its anything BUT easy.  I appreciate your support. Thanks again!

When someone says you are taking the "easy way out."  Say, "Yes, I know, major surgery is always the easy way!"  Then smile. Lori
